Tomorrow at 3:30P.M. JIVE Youth is having another round of celebration.  This month’s Jive@Month-end is themed Step Up.  It is a challenge for the young people to step up in their spiritual walk with God.

This coming Saturday is JIVE Youth’s October Jam: Step Up.  We invite young people and young professionals to come visit us. The program starts at 3:30P.M. This month’s program is a call for the young people who have been with us for sometime to step up in ministry.

Reaching out to the youth has its interesting, complex dynamics. The issues that surround today’s youth are vast and can range from the more simple peer pressure issues to the more complex self esteem ones brought about by the insecurity that can be rooted back from having a dysfunctional family.

If there is anything true about the youth, it is their general need to feel validated. With the huge percentage of the young people having come from dysfunctional families, with a love tank that is close to empty, getting their feelings validated by someone means a whole lot for them.

The youth center has been open for some weeks now and more and more students are being made aware of a hang out place in Guadalupe Nuevo where they can have good clean fun. JIVE Youth Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1PM-6PM.
